Can You Become A Copywriter And Be A Wreck At Public Speaking?

Can You Become A Copywriter And Be A Wreck At Public Speaking?
Can you be a wreck at public speaking and a copywriter at the same time? Good question. Tricky answer actually.

Copywriters and art directors typically spend ALL DAY LONG in presentation mode. Whether it's to their own partners or to the Creative Directors or to the, yikes, clients...literally it's endless. Ideas are only etchings on paper until they are presented to others, remember.

But wait, before you toss away that perfect ad portfolio you're building, there's actually hope for you if you completely dread and find yourself physically unable to speak in public.

Some copywriters and some art directors have actually forged smaller careers in advertising by making it well known that public speaking is just NOT something they are capable of. Plain and simple...they can't and they admit that they can't. ***Please note...this IS FAR MORE THE EXCEPTION THAN THE RULE!!!***

So how then does the process work for them if everyone else is on this endless 'presentation parade?'

Well, first of all, let it be known that these 'MUTE' creatives will still have to present to their partners. There's just no way around this stumbling block...sorry. They will have to share ideas and passionately defend the merits of each.

But from there, they can literally ride on the coattails of their partners by NOT presenting the ideas up the line. People who can't, and won't speak 'in public' ALLOW their partners to do it. All of it.

Now those who can't handle the public speaking will usually still attend meetings and 'follow the work' and support their partners with occasional grunts and furious nods, but by and large, they don't have to speak.

Which is amazing once you realize how much of the ad game is verbal.

Does that mean that Article Marketing is an INCREDIBLE alternative to those people who become a wreck at public speaking? You'd better believe it does!
